Joy is a graduate of the University of Oregon with a Bachelor’s in Human Anatomy and Physiology. After discovering a passion for healing through movement while attaining her Bachelor's in Human Anatomy and Physiology at the University of Oregon, Joy went on to get her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Pacific University. Joy is inspired to treat the whole person, not just the injury, with a clinical emphasis in return to sport athletes, pre and post surgical rehabilitation, along with specialized training in temporal mandibular joint (TMJ) dysfunction through the American Academy of Orofacial pain. She treats a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions with supplemental use of Graston, Cupping, Kinesiotape, Mulligan Techniques, and aquatic therapy.
Native to Oregon, Joy is an adventure seeker with a passion for athletics. Joy was a competitive gymnast for 10 years before pursuing other sports including pole-vaulting, soccer, tennis and snowboarding. Outside of work, Joy enjoys mountaineering, rock climbing, and sailing with her family.
